Mamma Roma

Oh my, the food was to die for! We had tomato/fetta and awesomeness antipasto, and then we had pizza! I had Margherita, and it was delicious! The crust was incredible and I ate the whole pizza (doesn't happen often!). My friends had the crostata pie and tiramisu and they loved it! The staff was super lovely too! Highly recommend if you're in Maggie island! I will be back!

Absolutely stellar experience. We arrived 7:45, unsure if they would take us in. The staff was super accomodating, super cheerful and full of life. They promptly found us a table (even though they were still quite busy), sat us down with menus and offered us their specials and wine list immediately. As soon as we put out menus down, another cheerful gentleman took our order, we ordered two delicious pizzas. The crust, the tomato base, the toppings, everything was top quality and absolutely delicious and authentic. We usually don’t have desert but couldn’t resist the lovely recommendation the lady server offered! The apple crumble with ice cream and cream was perfectly balanced, fresh and satisfying. The ambient is gorgeous, great music - famous Italian hits - and it seemed like all staff were Italian (or at least very proud of what they were doing!!!). We ABSOLUTELY loved it. BEST restaurant in Magnetic Island. Thank you very much for a beautiful experience Mama Roma!! We will be back for more!

What an incredible experience dining at this restaurant! We didn’t have reservations but the waitress was lovely trying to accommodate us. The food was extremely tasty, highly recommend the calzone and the gnocchi. The pizza and desserts were also good but honestly, nothing compares to how delicious the first two were. The gnocchi was literally an explosion of flavors, my reaction when having the first bite was “wow! Omg this is so good!!”. The waitresses were lovely, and it was nice hearing some Italian when they were pronouncing the ingredients! Don’t miss the chance to trying their food!

My partner and I had dinner here two nights in a row they were that good. First night was awesome dining experience and the food was incredible. Possibly the best Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to. And the second night we called up 10 minutes before closing time and ordered food and they were happy to make it. Staff are all brilliant. Will definitely be coming here again. Ciao.

Mama Roma, where do I begin? The staff and owners are incredible people, that will always make sure you're accommodated, happy, and comfortable. The food tastes like Nona used to make. Picture this, you walk along the beach, you enter a brick walkway with beautiful trees, hanging vines, and vibrant blue water next to you. You're enjoying the sights and the sounds. But, now it's after lunch and you get a little peckish, so you keep walking and you hear some live music. You follow your ears to flavortown. Enjoy. Seriously, you don't have a choice. You will enjoy whatever you order.
